Their Story

How They Met

Their story began in 2013 through a shared love of soccer. Dimpho was still in high school, and Jansen was coaching when they first noticed each other at the soccer field. Although they never officially met at the time, they had both shared with a mutual friend that they liked each other. Soon after, life took them in different directions, and their paths drifted apart.

Eight years later, in 2021, fate brought them together once again through soccer and the same mutual friend. This time, they exchanged numbers, started talking, and quickly realized that the connection they had felt years before had never truly disappeared. What began as a chance reunion soon blossomed into a beautiful love story.

The Proposal

What Dimpho thought would be a relaxing beach day in Bali, Indonesia, turned into one of the most unforgettable moments of their journey together.

After spending the day by the ocean, they planned to enjoy dinner while watching the sunset. Unknown to Dimpho, Jansen had secretly arranged a beautifully decorated proposal setting on the beach.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with breathtaking shades of gold and pink, Jansen got down on one knee and asked Dimpho to spend forever with him. Without hesitation, she said yes.

It was the perfect beginning to the next chapter of their love story.

Favourite Memories

Some of their favourite memories include finding their way back to each other after so many years, supporting one another through every season of life, travelling together, and creating unforgettable experiences along the way.

Their magical trip to Bali will always hold a special place in their hearts, not only because it was where they got engaged, but because it marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their lives. Above all, they cherish the simple moments they share, filled with laughter, love, and the joy of building a lifetime together.

Arrival Time

Please arrive by 1:00 PM to be seated before the ceremony begins.

Formal attire. All black, with gold, silver, or any accent-coloured jewellery.

Ceremony

Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors.
